Pushing Through the Rough Times

A quote that I've been hearing recently kept my mind busy as the waves barreled on our back side pushing us into the channel with minimal control over the helm. I had wondered if I had fallen off if I would have been able to survive. The quote reads "Smooth seas never made a skilled sailor". I think it's became quite popular due to the fact that metaphorically it can be applied during any rough times, however I had been experiencing it at its truest meaning. No, we'd never choose to go out yet if we were aware of what was to come, but looking back today I suppose it gives some experience, and of course a crazy story to tell. I'd truly like to state how I think weather prediction is mostly a load of bologna. Nature is wild and free to do whatever it wants to do. Oh well.
